VIEWING ON A PC
Q1. What do
I need to view the IPTV stream on my PC.
A. You will
need a computer installed with Windows Media Player.
This is the software that your computer uses to play
video. For the best results, you will need to have
version 9.0 of Windows Media Player installed. If
you're not sure, then download the latest version
and install it anyway.
For the latest version of Windows Media Player, it
can be found here.
Always download Microsoft
software direct to from their site or trusted sites
and never use unknown links from other sites.
Q2. I
have the latest vesion of Windows Media Player but
I can't see anything playing on the tv/pc screen.
A. GDB uses
the latest software to play tv over the internet.
You may need to update your computer to the latest
version of Internet Explorer. If you have version
5.5 or later the stream should work, if you're not
sure, then download the latest version and install
it anyway.
The latest version of this can be found here.
If you have updated Windows Media Player & Internet
Explorer and you are still having problems, try re-starting
your computer and then re-launch the channel you are
trying to play.
If you are still having problems, you will need to
check whether your computer meets the following minimum
system requirements. Pentium 3 or similar with 512MM
RAM, 500MB Hard Drive space, 64MB graphics card.
Q3. I am getting
a picture but it is jumpy, blocky or freezes.
A. IPTV plays
at different connection speeds. It is worth checking
your line speed by going to the following link and
do a line speed check. www.adslguide.net.
You may find your connection speed is much lower than
your internet provider is telling you. You really
need a genuine line speed of 700kbs but for best results
1300kbs is preferred.
Q4. Can I view
on a Mac computer.
A. Yes, but for
it to function correctly you will need to have Panther
OS X 10.3 minimum with the latest Windows Media Player
plug-in installed. You can download it here.
